Meet the Band.
Halfway to Dead isn't your typical cover band. Formed during the COVID shutdowns by drummer David, the band has evolved through multiple iterations to become a powerhouse four-piece built for one purpose: delivering high-energy performances that pack venues and keep crowds engaged all night. Frontman Derrick brings over 20 years of performance experience and thousands of shows to the stage, serving as both lead vocalist and MC to keep the energy high between songs. Lead guitarist Jake, a veteran of both original projects and cover bands, delivers powerful guitar work and vocal harmonies. Bassist Jessie, who previously played with Jake in the original project Death Abides, rounds out the lineup with solid low end and additional vocals. Together, the band delivers three 50-minute sets of authentic 90s and 2000s alt-rock and grunge—Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, and more. But it's not just about the music. Halfway to Dead brings coordinated lighting, professional sound engineering, promotional support (including printed collateral delivered in advance), and a performance mindset that turns every show into an event.
